Question 1

What is the cost to the property?

Accepted Answer

Zero. Smart Vendors LLC provides the machine, the technology, and the service at no cost to the building.

Question 2

Who handles restocking?

Accepted Answer

We do. Our smart inventory system alerts us the moment a product is low, so the machine stays stocked.

Question 3

Where do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve properties across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia — the entire DMV region.

Question 4

How secure are the machines?

Accepted Answer

The door only unlocks after a valid payment method is authorized. Cameras and shelf weight sensors track every item, the door auto-closes and re-locks, and every transaction is logged with a timestamped video clip and itemized receipt.

Question 5

Do you offer a revenue share or commission?

Accepted Answer

No. Smart Vendors covers 100% of the cost of the machine, technology, installation, restocking, monitoring and repairs, so we keep the model sustainable instead of offering a revenue share.

Question 6

How long does installation take?

Accepted Answer

Most machines are delivered, installed, and stocked within 7–14 days of agreeing on a placement. The on-site install typically takes under two hours.

Question 7

How much space does a machine need?

Accepted Answer

A typical unit needs roughly 3 ft of width, 3 ft of depth, and about 7 ft of height clearance, plus a nearby standard electrical outlet.

Question 8

What kind of products do you stock?

Accepted Answer

A balanced mix of cold drinks, healthy snacks, classic favorites, and everyday essentials, tailored to each location.

Question 9

What happens if a machine breaks down?

Accepted Answer

Our system alerts us automatically. Most issues are resolved remotely; on-site visits typically happen within 24–48 hours at no cost to the property.

Question 10

Is there a long-term contract?

Accepted Answer

No long-term lock-in. We use a simple placement agreement, and you can ask us to remove the machine with reasonable notice at no cost.
